70 Foxs Lane/Wellness

Wellness & Longevity
Byron Bay Hinterland

A state-of-the-art wellness retreat drawing from Roman bathhouse sequencing and Japanese onsen philosophy — set within 51 hectares of tropical orchard in Byron Shire.

The Wellness Offering

Barefoot Luxury. Evidence-Based Recovery.

The 70 Foxs Lane Wellness & Longevity Retreat is designed around the full thermal contrast and recovery sequence — sauna, steam, cold plunge, infrared, breathwork, and stillness. Finished in warm timber, raw stone, and soft filtered light, it draws from the Roman bathhouse tradition and Japanese onsen philosophy.

Orchard-infused treatments and cold-pressed elixirs complete an experience rooted in the land. This is not a day spa bolted onto a hotel — it is a purpose-built recovery environment integrated with the estate's agriculture, architecture, and rhythm of life.

The Facilities

Sauna & Steam

Traditional Finnish sauna and eucalyptus steam room finished in reclaimed hardwood and volcanic basalt, designed for extended thermal sequences.

Cold Plunge & Ice Baths

Dedicated cold immersion pools calibrated for contrast therapy. Integrated with breathwork programming and guided recovery sessions.

Infrared Panels

Full-spectrum infrared panels for deep tissue recovery, muscle activation, and metabolic stimulation — evidence-based longevity protocol.

Private Massage Rooms

Therapist-staffed massage and bodywork studios offering orchard-infused treatments, remedial massage, and curated wellness journeys.

Yoga Shala

An open, minimal structure oriented to capture the first light of morning — designed for breath, movement, and meditation practice. Sanskrit for "house", a place of return.

Breathwork Spaces

Dedicated rooms for guided breathwork, pranayama, and somatic practice — designed with acoustic isolation and biophilic materials.

25m Magnesium Pool

A 250 sqm heated magnesium pool at the heart of the Clubhouse — shallow lounging bays, expansive decking, and panoramic hinterland views.

Orchard Elixir Bar

Cold-pressed juices, adaptogenic tonics, and orchard-sourced elixirs formulated from seasonal produce harvested metres away.

Materials & Philosophy

The wellness precinct is designed by Luke Chandresinghe of Undercover Architecture — whose deep research into Japanese Shinto spatial philosophy and wabi-sabi material honesty shapes every surface. Warm timber, raw volcanic basalt, rammed earth, and natural textiles create an environment that signals retreat at a sensory level.

Sound fades to stillness. Lighting remains soft. The architecture disappears into the place it serves.

Investment Context

Wellness as a Revenue Pillar

Wellness is one of the fastest-growing segments in global hospitality, with premium wellness tourism growing at approximately 16% annually. The 70 Foxs Lane wellness offering sits at the intersection of three secular trends — longevity health, nature immersion, and farm-to-table living — in a region where existing wellness supply is dramatically outpaced by demand.

Within the 70 Foxs Lane operating model, the wellness retreat operates as both a standalone revenue pillar (treatment bookings, day passes, membership inclusions) and a primary driver of accommodation yield — guests who combine overnight stays with wellness programming generate materially higher total revenue per visit.

The Foxes Lane Apothecary — an independently incorporated skincare brand formulated from estate-sourced botanicals — extends the wellness proposition into a separately investable direct-to-consumer business with its own Information Memorandum.
